Butyl Acrylate Main Raw Material C7H12O2 Mainly Used as Organic Synthesis Intermediate 141-32-2
Butyl acrylate, also known as 2-butyl acrylate and butyl acrylate, is a colorless liquid, the molecular formula for C7H12O2. The chemical class is acryyl compound. Almost insoluble in water, similar in toxicity to methyl acrylate. Irritation to skin and eyes. Soluble in ethanol, ether, acetone and other organic solvents. Acrylic acid and n-butanol in the presence of sulfuric acid esterification and obtained by neutralization, water washing, dealcoholization, distillation of finished products. Mainly used as organic synthesis intermediates, adhesives, emulsifiers, coatings, etc.
Butyl Acrylate is used as a raw material for fiber processing agents, adhesives, coatings, plastics, acrylic rubber, andemulsions.
In plastic industry, it is used for the production of acrylic acid resin.
In coating industry, it can be used for the production of double-component coating with epoxy resin, diisocyanate, melamino-formaldehyde resin.
In oil industry, it can be used as additive for cleaning of lubricant.
