The main hazards and effects of foam on papermaking are:
1. The presence of foam in the paper will cause the headbox concentration to fluctuate, resulting in unstable paper flow; at the same time, the foam will form a floating slurry, which will cause a lot of clumps on the paper and even a broken end.
2. Foam reduces the bonding strength between the cardboard layers, causing foam holes, foam spots, resin spots and other paper diseases on paper and cardboard.
3. In the processing of coated paper, if there is a large amount of foam in the storage tank and the coating roller, the foam will overflow and the coating will not operate normally, causing paint loss and polluting the environment.
4. When the coated paper is dried, the air inside the foam expands due to heat and ruptures, forming depressions on the paper surface, destroying the smoothness and smoothness of the paper surface, affecting the exquisiteness and integrity of the printed patterns on the paper product.
5. In the process of papermaking waste liquid treatment, foam reduces the efficiency of waste liquid treatment, and makes the waste water run off and splash, affecting the surrounding environment.
