Alumina Defoamer AFV-8020:

Adding method:

Volume of addition:
The recommended addition amount of ores with high organic content is 15-25ppm;
It is recommended to add 5-15ppm of ore with low organic matter content;

1. Why do we need to use defoamer to prepare alumina by modified Bayer process?
First of all, we should understand the difference between the Bayer method and the improved Bayer method. The Bayer method is mainly to dissolve the ore with sodium hydroxide by heating, and then get the white alumina powder through the process of "filtration - acid treatment - aluminum hydroxide precipitation - filtration - strong hot aluminum hydroxide". The improved Bayer rule is to obtain high purity aluminate solution through deep desilication, iron removal and other purification processes, reduce the inclusion of impurities, and obtain alumina through calcination, grinding and other processes.
