GR-102 Methanation Catalyst
In hydrogen and ammonia production units, the GR-102 methanation catalyst is used to promote the reaction of low concentration carbon oxides (such as CO, CO2) with excess hydrogen gas to generate inert gas CH4 and easily removed H2O, achieving the purpose of purifying the gas and protecting downstream catalysts.

CO2+4H2=CH4+2H2O △H0,298=-165.0KJ/mol
Methanation reaction is a convenient and economical method for gas purification, which can reduce the carbon oxide content to a low residual level of 10-6 (V/V). Reasonably designed and normally operated methanation reactors usually have a CO+CO2 outlet that can be easily reduced to below 10×10-6 (V/V), and with a lifespan of over 5 years on large hydrogen and ammonia production plants.
