Tert-butyl carbonic acid peroxide-2-ethylhexyl ester Uses and synthesis methods Uses polymerization initiator.
1.styrene polymerization: TBEC can be used in the polymerization of styrene and styrene copolymers, polymerization temperature range of 100 ~ 130ºC. In bulk polymerization, TBEC is beneficial to increase the reaction rate. In aqueous suspension polymerization process, TBEC can reduce the residual amount of styrene monomer in the last stage of reaction.

2.Polymerization of acrylates and methacrylate: TBEC can be used for polymerization of acrylates or methacrylate at temperatures ranging from 100 ºC to 170ºC.

3.Curing of thermosetting resin: TBEC can be used for curing aliphatic unsaturated polyester at high temperature. It is the preferred curing agent (SMC, BMC, ZMC, etc.) in the hot molding process of UP resin. The temperature range is 120-170ºC, and the product has good tolerance, safety and environmental protection.
