Butyl acetate (chemical formula: CH3COO(CH2)3CH3), also known as acetic acid butyl ester, is a common organic ester compound. It is prepared by the esterification reaction of acetic acid (ethanoic acid) and n-butanol. It is a colorless and transparent liquid with a fruity aroma (similar to the smell of bananas or pears), and is widely used as a solvent, fragrance, and chemical intermediate.
| Application |
(1) It is a good organic solvent for the industry of cotton, nitration fiber, varnish, artificial leather, medicine, plastics and spices, which can dissolve rosin, polyvinyl acetate, polyacrylate, PVC, chlorinated rubber, Eucommia gum, polymethyl acrylamide, etc.
(2) Used as analytical reagent, chromatogram analysis standard substance and solvent.
(3) It is a good organic solvent, widely used in nitrocellulose varnish, as solvent in the processing of artificial leather, fabric and plastics, and also in the perfume industry.
(4) GB 2760-96 is a kind of edible spice allowed to be used. As a spice, it is widely used in the preparation of banana, pear, pineapple, apricot, peach, strawberry and berry. It can also be used as solvent for natural rubber and synthetic resin.
(5) Even for fruit flavor, the main performance is good diffusion power. It is more suitable for the use of head spices, but with less dosage, so as not to stand alone and affect the effect. It can be widely used in apricots, bananas, peaches, pears, pineapples, raspberries, strawberries and other food flavors.
(6) Excellent organic solvents have good solubility properties for cellulose acetate butyrate, ethyl cellulose, chlorinated rubber, polystyrene, methylacrylic resin and many natural resins such as tannin extract, Manila gum and Dama resin. It is widely used in nitrocellulose varnish, used as solvent in the process of artificial leather, fabric and plastic processing, as extraction agent in various petroleum processing and pharmaceutical processes, and also used for spice compounding and components of various flavor agents such as apricot, banana, pear, pineapple, etc.
(7) In common use, organic solvents were used to determine thallium, tin and tungsten, molybdenum and rhenium, antibiotic extractant.
