Defoamer for Synthetic Resins Emulsion
AFC-8034 is a Mineral oil defoamer.
This product is a defoamer with modified polyether as the main body, which is refined by a special process.
It is specially designed for synthetic resin emulsion. It has excellent antifoaming properties and compatibility, especially suitable for foam removal and suppression in high viscosity systems.
It can be applied to styrene, butadiene, acrylic acid, PVC and its copolymers, ethylene / vinyl acetate and water-soluble alkyd systems.

In emulsion polymerization, monomers are dispersed in water by means of emulsifiers and mechanical agitation to form emulsions, and then initiators are added to initiate monomer polymerization. 
In the production of synthetic rubber by emulsion polymerization, in addition to the four main components of monomer, water, emulsifier and initiator, a buffer (used to keep the pH of the system unchanged) and an activator (forming a redox cycle), regulators (adjust molecular weight, inhibit gel formation) and anti-aging agents (prevent the aging of raw rubber and vulcanized rubber) and other additives are often added to the System. 
It's industrialized varieties include milk polystyrene butadiene rubber, polyacrylate emulsion, polyvinyl acetate emulsion, etc. 
The emulsifier itself is a surfactant. During stirring, the surface activity increases, and the other in the air is brought into the emulsion to form a large amount of foam. The moisture in the lotion is taken away, resulting in an increase in the viscosity of the lotion and foaming.
During emulsion polymerization, foaming will affect the stirring speed, and too much foam will also affect the emulsion polymerization process and prolong the polymerization time. When the monomer is polymerized, the foam is mixed into it, which causes problems such as quality deterioration. 
To improve the quality of polymer emulsion. Normally, due to the long time of natural defoaming time and incomplete defoaming, it is necessary to use an antifoaming agent to eliminate foam and suppress foam generation.
